POST-MENOPAUSE

Life after menopause.

Once you're through menopause, lower oestrogen levels can raise the risk of certain long-term health conditions. Staying proactive about your health now makes a real difference for years to come.

Increased risks to be aware of

  • Osteoporosis: weakens bones and increases fracture risk

  • Cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke

Protecting your long-term health

  • Regular physical activity, especially weight-bearing and strength exercises

  • A balanced diet with adequate calcium and vitamin D

  • Not smoking

  • Keeping up with routine health checks

We are always here to help

IS IT AFFECTING YOU?

If you're experiencing severe or persistent symptoms that are affecting your quality of life, it's always worth a proper conversation. Post-menopause is not a stage to simply endure.

Contact us promptly if you notice:

Any vaginal bleeding after menopause. Bleeding after you've gone 12 months without a period should always be evaluated.

Seek emergency care immediately if you experience

Chest pain, sudden weakness, severe shortness of breath, or any other urgent concern. These warrant immediate emergency care, not a scheduled appointment.

Post-menopause isn't the end of your care journey with us. It's a continued partnership in protecting your long-term wellbeing.
